Coach Bobby Bowden at the Books-a-Million at Orange Park Mall Oct 29th

Coach Bobby Bowden, former Coach of the Florida State Seminoles and now New York Times bestselling author, will sign his new book Called to Coach beginning at 6 PM on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 29 at the Books-a-Million at Orange Park Mall. 

The signing was originally scheduled for Saturday, October 30 at 1 pm. 

The Books-a Million telephone number is 904-215-2300.  The store will issue line numbers with the purchase of a book beginning on Thursday evening at 5 PM.

Jaguars trade safety Anthony Smith to Green Bay; sign cornerback Chevis Jackson

The Jacksonville Jaguars and the Green Bay Packers finalized a trade today with safety Anthony Smith going to the Packers in exchange for an undisclosed draft pick.  In addition, the Jaguars signed third-year cornerback Chevis Jackson.

Louise Suggs Four Ball Championship Golf Tournament Oct 15

Please join Home Instead Senior Care for the first annual Louise Suggs Four Ball Championship Golf Tournament, sponsored by the Jacksonville and Orange Park offices of Home Instead Senior Care. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Mayo Research Center for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

The event provides an opportunity for the community to come together to support the local Mayo Research Center. Home Instead Senior Care organized the event, with the support of the LPGA, to bring attention to the continued need for research and funding for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases.

City Encourages Participation in "Teal Monday" Events, Offers Free Parking at Select Facilities

Mayor John Peyton has proclaimed Monday, Oct. 18, 2010 as “Teal Monday” in support of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Monday Night Football game against divisional rivals, the Tennessee Titans. To create a fun environment for all to enjoy, the Jaguars and others will host festivities at various locations throughout downtown.
