Fourth Judicial Circuit Public Defender Matt Shirk will be addressing high school students competing in the Circuit 4 Mock Trial Competition this Friday (2/25/11) at the Clay County Courthouse in Green Cove Springs, Courtroom A (cases will be heard in various other courtrooms to be determined).

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office invites residents of Clay County to attend an Open House event planned for Tuesday, March 1, 2011. 

JTA Wins Federal Clean Fuels Grant; Paves Way for First Hybrid Buses in Jacksonville

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) today announced that it has received a $4 million federal grant to purchase
hybrid buses as a part of JTA’s ongoing fleet replacement program.

The grant is funded through the Clean Fuels Grant Program Funds, a program that supports the U. S. Department of Transportation’s environmental sustainability efforts. JTA was the only Florida agency that received funds.

Try to come to this meeting. We are proposing Re Designing the Argyle Sign at Argyle and Blanding Blvd. We will have a CPR and a Landscaping Co. with a proposal. We need your input to help in the design process. This will be two or three months process. We would like to also have our Argyle Sign re made to include the "Oakleaf Town Center" on it, to let every one driving by, know we have a large Mall back in Oakleaf. One-On-One With Jennifer Carroll

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- She hails from the First Coast and  will soon be sworn in to the second highest post in Florida government.

Today, Lt. Governor-Elect Jennifer Carroll sat down with "Good Morning Jacksonville" for a glimpse into her private life.

Carroll also discussed election night, and addressed the fact that nearly half of Florida voters did not pick the Rick Scott/Jennifer Carroll ticket.

Carroll and her family live in Clay County.  She said she'll be paying special attention to the First Coast.

First Five Days of Early Voting More Successful Than Entire Two Weeks of Primary Early Voting

More people voted in the first five days of early voting for the General Election than voted during the entire two weeks of early voting for the Primary Election in Clay County. 6,850 people chose to cast their ballots during the first week of General Election early voting, while only 5,215 people voted early during the Primary Election.
