The Florida Sheriffs Association today announced that Clay County Sheriff’s Deputy, Con Kelley, has been selected as the “2011 Deputy Sheriff of the Year.” Kelley is being recognized today at the FSA Summer Conference in Daytona Beach for his dedication to law enforcement and his oath to serve and protect the public.

The American Heart Association-First Coast Market has named local business and community leader Joyce Kramzer as the chair for the 2011- 2012 Go Red For Women (GRFW) Mission.

Joyce Kramzer is Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida’s (BCBSF) Senior Vice President, Health Business Operations.  In this role, Kramzer has primary accountability for the business strategies and operations of delivery system, service, senior markets, and IT. In her dual role as the GRFW chair and AHA-First Coast Market Board of Directors Chair, Kramzer brings excellent businesses acumen and a sense of social responsibility.  
 

The following will strategically support Kramzer in furthering the GRFW mission of educating women of their unique and clearly defined risks of cardiovascular disease and stroke:

Rashean Mathis Lends a Helping Hand to Local AAU Team

ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- Long-time Jaguars cornerback Rashean Mathis had a good reason to support a fund-raising golf tournament for the Jacksonville All-Star Giants AAU youth basketball team.  His brother, Jerry Williams, is the head coach.

In a few weeks, the All-Star Giants will be competing in a national competition in Orlando.  Sunday's golf tournament at Orange Park Country Club helped raise money for the team's travel expenses.

The All-Star Giants are sponsored by the Jacksonville Giants of the ABA.  To learn more about this team, watch the video clip attached to this story.
