Finder's Hope Helps Families Who Have Missing Loved Ones | News

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Imagine waking up one morning and never seeing a loved one again. That's what inspired a First Coast family to help others.
Michael Austin Davis disappeared on the Westside of Jacksonville in June of 2007. He was 26.
The last time anyone saw him, he was buying a gun at a pawn shop.
"Then walked to a Walmart very nearby and purchased ammunition and duffle bag went back to the pawn shop to retrieve the gun he just purchased and walked off, and that's the last we know," Anita Sullivan of Finder's Hope described.
Sullivan is Davis's sister. Her life has not been the same since he vanished.
"We've never been able to grieve his loss, because we've really never known for sure," she said.
Sullivan has dedicated her life to finding her brother, and other missing people. Her family started Finder's Hope.
"The mission of Finder's Hope is to help families with a missing loved one, to connect them to resources, to connect them with resources we have," Sullivan said.
Since they started in May 2008, they have gradually helped families all throughout the southeast. They are actively working on 10 cases, partnering with other agencies across the nation to offer hope and help.
"It gave us even more of a heart to help people," Sullivan said.
Now, they're on task to help the family of Rosemary Day. Police found the 27-year-old's car in downtown Jacksonville in May 2011, but they still have not found her.
We spoke with Day's sister, Bonnie Pennington, on the phone from Phoenix. "In this journey we have good days and bad days. If I'm having a bad day, I can call them and it's somebody who can relate to what I'm going through," Pennington said.
There's a Facebook page dedicated to Day called "Help Find Rosemary Day."
