Major sewer line breaks in Orange Park | News
ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- A major sewer line broke in a residential Orange Park neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.
The break happened on Gano Avenue, according to a Town of Orange Park Facebook post. The town is blaming the break on old clay pipes between DeBarry Avenue and Grove Park Drive.
"This is a complicated, very deep repair that will take up to two weeks to fix," according to the Town of Orange Park Facebook page.
First Coast News contacted Orange Park public works Wednesday. A spokesperson said there is a bypass system in place and no sewage was spilled. The main concern, according to spokesperson, was traffic.
Traffic has been diverted from the area.
