Two more arrested in prostitution sting, 16 total | News
CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- More than a dozen suspects were arrested Tuesday in a Clay County prostitution sting.
The prostitution operation launched as a result of complaints from residents and business owners in Orange Park, who were suspicious about activity they saw going on in various neighborhoods and business complexes.
The sting took place at massage parlor locations, where several suspects work, and residential locations that were set up as meeting places.
Several suspects were rounded up through online classified and social media advertisements.
Services offered ranged from oral sex to sexual intercourse and ran between $60 to $260 per service.
Undercover detectives from the Clay County Sheriff's Office and the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office rounded up 14 women and two men in the operation.
James Edward Jones, Jr., 28 and 40-year-old James Robert Woodard were allegedly acting drivers for women taken down in the sting.
