ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- An Orange Park High School graduate is killed in a double homicide in Miami Gardens and local friends and family members are left with many unanswered questions.

A group of friends sit outside 20-year-old Tyrone Walker Jr.'s house in Orange Park. His parents are in Miami trying to get answers from Miami Gardens Police. They say their son and his grandmother were shot and killed with their arms and legs bound.

"I felt like I didn't want to breathe, I felt like it should have been me. He just had a good heart," said Eric Spinks, Walker's friend.

Spinks said Tuesday morning, he found out his friend Tyrone and his grandmother 70-year-old Annette Anderson were found dead in her home. Miami Gardens Police say they went to check out the home on NW 207th street when a neighbor had not seen or heard from Anderson.

"I believe it happened sometime this weekend, I talk to TJ every day and I haven't spoken to him since Saturday night," said Spinks.

Tyrone's mother Carolyn Walker told NBC in Miami that her mother lived in the home for about 45 years. Tyrone graduated from Orange Park High School in 2011 and moved in with his grandmother in Miami Gardens. His friends say he was attending ITT Tech and wanted to become an engineer.

"It's cruel that they would take someone's life who is just trying to do better for themselves," said Josephine Kavanagh.

Kavanagh also went to high school with Tyrone and says he was just a funny, goofy guy that always made everyone laugh.

All of his friends, family members, and his three sisters are trying to support his parents, but no one understands how this could have happened.

"His three sisters are taking it really hard," said Tyrone Walker Sr., the victim's father.

"We just all love him so much and we're all hurt by this," said Kavanagh.
