This free event for teacher and administrator candidates is open to all certified teachers and administrators, including those individuals who will soon obtain Florida certification.

Belk Charity Event and a Good Reason to Go Shopping!

Belk Spring Charity Sale - Belk will hold its annual Spring Charity Sale this Saturday morning at 6:00 a.m. to benefit local charities, schools and nonprofit organizations throughout the company’s 16-state market area.

A $5 charitable donation gains customers admission to a private sale with merchandise discounts ranging from an extra 20 to 70 percent off on items throughout the store, including special savings on rarely discounted brands. This Saturday, at Hillcrest Bapist Church, there is an Easter Egg Hunt/Community Spring Festival from 10am-12 pm. 

It is located at 7673 Collins Road in the Argyle Forest area just off Rampart Rd. 

In addition to the egg hunt for kids, there will be candy, ponies, inflatables, face painting, food and fun!

Walk MS First Coast, April 16th

The National MS Society, North Florida Chapter will host six Walk MS fundraisers in North Florida beginning April 2, 2011.

Funds raised from each walk will benefit the National MS Society, North Florida Chapter and go toward research, programs and services.

In 2010 the National MS Society North Florida Chapter raised about $223,000 from Walk MS. This year, the Society hopes to raise $279,000 and $300,000 by 2012.

County Humane Society holds “Bark After Dark” Benefit Auction on Saturday, May 7th

The Clay County Humane Society will hold its 9th Annual “Bark After Dark” Benefit Auction and Cocktail Party on Saturday, May 7th from 6pm–10pm.  The event will take place at the beautiful Winterbourne Inn located at Club Continental on the St. Johns River. Ticket cost is $50.00 per guest and includes a silent auction, gourmet cuisine, live music, dancing under the stars to music by Lorenzo and the Allstars Band and a much anticipated Bachelor and Prize Auction.  Each bachelor will be accompanied by a four-legged companion up for adoption by local rescue organizations.  All proceeds benefit the Humane Society, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.  For more information contact the Clay County Humane Society at 904-276-7729.
