An Orange Park woman has been arrested after Clay County Sheriff’s say she ran over her boyfriend with her car.

'Dapper' Thief Steals Bibles, Other Items from Book Store

ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- A man investigators describe by police as "dapper" walked into a local book store and helped himself to several items, including bibles, before walking out without paying.

According to the Clay County Sheriff's Office, it happened at the Books-A-Million in the Orange Park Mall Sunday at about 5:45 p.m.

Surveillance video shows the man walking in carrying a yellow bag and putting four electronic bibles, two electronic dictionaries, two electronic speaking translators and two electronic five-language translators into the bag before leaving the store.

The suspect is described as a black male, possibly in his 40s, wearing a pink T-shirt, dark plaid shorts and white-bottomed shoes.

The stolen merchandise is worth $600.

Victim Identified from Orange Park Nightclub Shooting

ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- Two men are in the Clay County Jail after a shooting at a nightclub early Saturday morning.

The shooting  happened at 2:30 Saturday morning at Club Christopher's on Wells Road in Orange Park.

Witnesses notified police in the area that a person had been shot outside the club.  Police located 32-year-old Kevelin Holmes of Jacksonville.  Holmes was shot twice and underwent surgery at Shands Jacksonville Saturday morning.  He is expected to survive.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office received a vehicle description from witness statements and stopped a gray Chevrolet Impala matching the description given.

Sheriff's deputies stopped a car matching that description near US 17 and I-295.  Two people were arrested as a result of that traffic stop.
