According to a police report from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect formally known simply as the "Wanted Wedding Crasher," is now in custody.

The suspect, 20-year-old Anthony Staab of Middleburg, was arrested Tuesday and charged with burglary and grand theft. The suspect was identified from video surveillance at various locations where he used the victim's stolen credit card.

Clay County deputies had been seeking Staab, the wedding crasher, after he allegedly made off with a purse stolen from the car of a guest attending a wedding in Oakleaf Plantation.

According to the report, the victim left her purse in her unlocked car around 2:30 p.m. Saturday and noticed it was missing around 5:30 p.m. the same day.

According to a statement from CCSO spokesperson Mary Justino, “Detectives believe the suspect used the victim's stolen credit cards at a BP in Middleburg, Wal-Mart on Brannan Field Road in Middleburg, a Hess station on Argyle Forest Blvd in Orange Park, and the Sonic restaurant on 103rd Street in Jacksonville.”

None of the property has been recovered.

Staab is also facing credit card fraud charges in a separate case.
