Julie Durden is a singer song-writer from the Jacksonville Beach area. She is currently working on her third album titled "Life Is My Church".

An American Sign Language teacher at Fletcher High School, Julie began recording this album more than two years ago, She was able to write songs about many of her life experiences that are universal. Completion date for recording the album is early Fall of 2011.

Julie's debut album was "Simple Things" released in 2003. It was followed with "Free" released in 2007. On the Free album was the song “Perfect That Way” which won the Songwriter/Universe Best Song of the Month award for October that year. It was also recognized internationally as a dedication song for Deaf individuals and their families. Both of these albums were self-funded and recorded independently. She is looking for community support to help her fund this latest project.

"I am very excited to have the opportunity to collaborate with everyone to make this album happen. This is a labor of love project for me. But together, we can make this a work of change, love and acceptance for our world," says Julie.
